Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever.  Amen.

Living Nativity Report:
Many thanks to all who worked hard for the play, coffee house and christmas shop, including those who set up and cleaned up (until the “bitter end”!).
Profits from the shop and coffee house totaled 27,841 yen.  Thanks be to God!

Elementary Snack Policy:
Parents and teachers have rethought the CCSI policy about snacks during school hours and have decided that parents will determine their child’s need for a healthy mid-morning snack.

Mochi Tsuki:
We will gather tomorrow, January 10, at 9 am until 12.  This is an annual community-building, cultural event where we not only pound, roll, ball and eat mochi, but we give them as new year’s gifts to our local neighbors.  This year, Mrs. Nara, tea ceremony master, will serve green tea to enjoy with the sweet mochi.  We will also have a haiku table for composing creative, short poetry to express your new year’s resolutions.
We are requesting 200 yen for adults (middle school and up) and 100 yen for children to help with costs.

Urgent Prayer Needed:
It looks as though Tori, the intern due to come this month, will not be coming until next fall.  Consequently, we are in great need of a full-time teacher from April to June in E-track.  Please pray for God’s provision.
